7+1 Perfect Sock Pattern - Täydellisten sukkien metsästys

I'm not a big fan of knitting sock. For me socks have always just happened. My granny is the one that provides the whole family with woolen socks or mittens every Christmas. So I do have socks and I use them a lot! From fall to spring. So why do I search for the perfect socks now all the sudden? Well, I saw my BFF a couple of weeks ago and her pink socks were kinda worn out so I thought she might like a new pair for her birthday. Although last time I knitted her a pair they ended up in the washing machine after one days usage and became baby socks. FAIL!

Well, this time i thought I'd use plastic yarn so nothing could go wrong! By that I would just be torturing my self as the knitter, so I guess I have to make a compromise and use a sock yarn :)

So to begin I searched the Ravelry data base for sock patterns. I got 19 400 patterns, but the search only showed 10 000 (that's 209 pages with 48 pattern per page) and I found 7 (!!!) pattern I liked! SEVEN! It took me several days to go through all the pages!

The pattern I liked as a knitter are the once you see at the top of this post. No particular order. And the link to the pattern is under the picture.

Then there's a couple of sock patterns that should be. I got very inspired by looking at those nearly 10 000 sock patterns, and I don't mean like "ooh, I should copy that" but more like "really?! There's not a pattern for this and that kinda socks?!"

So I made my own :) Going to post about them more later ;)

En ole mikään intohimoinen villasukan neuloja. Villasukat on aina tulleet minulle isoäidiltä joululahjana joten monet sukat on jäänyt neulomatta, silti niitä aina on! Kumma juttu.

Jatketaan...
Järjestys on summittainen.
