YARN

35 g sport weight yarn, sample uses Opal Uni Solid 6 ply by Zwerger Garn. 420 m/ 150 g. Fiber content; 75% wool, 25% nylon.

NEEDLES

a set of dpn’s or long circular needle for magic loop, 3 mm (US 2.5) or to obtain gauge

GAUGE

22 sts and 32 rows = 10 cm (4 inches)

NOTIONS

  • 1 Tapestry needle
  • 1 Stitch holder or scrap yarn
  • 1 Cable needle

ABBREVIATIONS

BO : Bind off.
CO : Cast on.
K : Knit.
K tbl : Knit through back loop.
m1l : Make 1 left leaning.
m1r : Make 1 right leaning.
P : Purl.
1/1 LPT : Slip next stitch to cable needle and place at front of work, p1, then k1 tbl from cable needle.
1/1 LT : Slip next stitch to cable needle and place at front of work, k1 tbl, then k1 tbl from cable needle.
1/1 RPT : Slip next stitch to cable needle and place at back of work, k1 tbl, then p1 from cable needle.
